An authoritive book written by a fancier who in 1991 completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in conservation biology and ethology. In 1992 he completed his honours degree in Zoology in the field of bird behaviour. In 1997 he graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Verterinary Science with first class Honours. Danny keeps approximately 450 birds from 70 species including finches, doves, pigeons, quail and native and exotic waterfowl. He has kept 32 of the species listed in the book and has consistently bred 22 of these species. He also has a large collection of reptiles. In 2002, Danny completed an passed his exams granting him membership to Australian College of Veterinay Science in the field of Avian Health.
